I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. I received my M.A. in Counseling from Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and I have had a counseling practice with my wife, Ashlie since 2002.

I have journeyed with clients who are adolescents, couples, and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, grief and loss, chronic illness, sexual addiction, divorce, self-hurt behavior, and suicidal thoughts. I specialize in the treatment of sex and love addiction. My focus is primarily adults.

I am a trauma therapist. I use EMDR therapy to help people work through their hardest experiences, so they can live more rewarding lives. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.

Experiencing trauma can block the brain?s natural way to recovering from distressing events. EMDR therapy is designed to reactivate this natural healing process through alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps. I have seen how amazing EMDR is for my clients! Watching their healing process with EMDR has made me more confident that I can help future clients with their pain.

Sexual addiction is a complex addiction but there is hope! As a trained Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT?), I have completed training developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes which required attendance at multiple training modules and supervision with a CSAT Supervisor. It also requires ongoing education so that CSATs such as me are experts in providing sexual addiction therapy. It is a rigorous process designed to equip me to help you most effectively.

As a CSAT supervisor with IITAP, I am experienced in the Recovery Start Kit, the SDI, PTSI-R, and MAWASI. I practice with my wife, specializing in the treatment of individual sex/love addicts and partners of sex/love addicts. We also work with couples at key points in the treatment process. I am well versed in the journey for addicts and partners. I also work to integrate faith-based materials for individuals and couples who are seeking that type of support.
